Disney unveils concept art for The Jungle Book remake
The first piece of concept art for Disney’s 2015 remake of The Jungle Book has been released.
Set for an October 9 2015 release, the first concept art for Disney’s 2015 animated remake of The Jungle Book has been released online, depicting a young Mowgali (Neel Sethi) and Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) walking in front of a jungle waterfall.
Directed by Iron Man’s Jon Favreau, the art gives us a small glimpse of the grand scale which the remake is set to achieve and it certainly looks like Favreau is going for more than The Bare Necessities* with his visuals.
In addition to Kingsley and Sethi, The Jungle Book will also feature the voice talents of Lupita Nyong’o (Star Wars, Episode VII: The Force Awakens, 12 Years a Slave) as Raksha and Christopher Walken (Hairspray) as King Louie, as well as Luther’s Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Bill Murray (Ghostbusters) as Baloo and Scarlett Johansson as Kaa.
* Sorry, we couldn’t resist that one…
