Fifty Shades of Grey gets a UK rating
Ahead of the film’s release on Valentine’s Day, the BBFC has officially rated the film.
Fifty Shades of Grey has been officially rated 18 by the BBFC, in news which will most likely shock absolutely no-one.
Fifty Shades, which will be released in cinemas on Valentine’s Day, has passed completely uncut and has been rated as such for “strong sex and nudity, along with the portrayal of erotic role play based on domination, submission and sado-masochistic practices”, according to the BBFC website.
Starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the lead roles of wealthy businessman Christian Grey and student Anastasia Steele, Fifty Shades of Grey is based on the novel of the same name, written by E.L. James.
