The first Captain America: Civil War trailer is here

Are you Team Captain America or Team Iron Man for Captain America: Civil War?

With the end of Marvel’s Phase Two arriving with Ant Man a few months ago and the first spy shots of Benedict Cumberbatch in action as Doctor Strange hitting the web recently, the eyes of all Marvel fans are firmly on the upcoming slew of films in Phase Three, the first of which – Captain America: Civil War – has just released its first trailer.

Promising all-out action and a deep rift between two of the MCU’s most well-loved (and toughest!) Avengers, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark/Iron Man and Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers/Captain America are set to come to blows next May, with each bringing to the fore their respective teams to battle it out against the other.

The trailer also brings the first official look at one of the new heroes soon to join the Avengers’ roster, Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, who appears in all his glory a few times in the final few seconds of the footage. There’s – probably unsurprisingly – no mention or look at Tom Holland’s new take on Spider-Man, but it was always pretty unlikely that Holland’s reveal would be released this early, given that his role in Captain America: Civil War is rumoured to be minimal.

The release of today’s Captain America: Civil War trailer comes alongside the first three official posters for the film, which you can see in our gallery below.

Captain America: Civil War hits UK cinemas on 29 April 2016.
