First look at Daniel Craig in SPECTRE

Sony have released the first official photo from SPECTRE.

This morning, Sony Pictures released the first photo of Daniel Craig in character as James Bond in the latest instalment in the 007 franchise, SPECTRE.

The picture shows the British secret agent in action on the snowy slopes of Austria, and is accompanied by the first behind-the-scenes featurette, shown above. The first look shows members of the production team talking about the action taking place in the Austrian mountains, which is billed as “one of the major action sequences of the movie” by Associate Producer Gregg Wilson. The video also features Production Designer Dennis Gassner discussing how he and Director Sam Mendes “are going to top Skyfall“, the last film in the series, released in 2012.

First announced in December 2014, the official plot synopsis for SPECTRE reads:
A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

SPECTRE will be released in the UK on 23 October 2015 and stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, Naomi Harris, Léa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott, Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista.
