Marvel releases first poster for Ant-Man
Paul Rudd stars in the final film in Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel have officially unveiled the first poster for Ant-Man, ahead of the teaser trailer’s premiere during the two-hour launch of new TV show, Marvel’s Agent Carter.
The poster shows little else other than an ant-sized figure, which we’re obviously taking to be the film’s titular hero, played on-screen by Paul Rudd. Ant-Man also stars LOST’s Evangeline Lilly, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.
An updated synopsis of the film, which opens in the UK on 17 July 2015, reads as follows:
“The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”
