Right on schedule and as promised, the first teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens has hit the Internet.

We have to confess, we’re almost shaking with excitement at typing that sentence and trust us when we say here’s one trailer that you’ll be watching again and again. And again. Then once more.

Sadly, there’s no snaps of any Star Wars alumni such as Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher or Mark Hamill, but we do get brief snaps of Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega as the film’s as-yet-unnamed new characters, as well as a very Benedict Cumberbatch-sounding voiceover which bears more than a little resemblance to the tones of a certain dragon named Smaug…

Oh, and the Millennium Falcon.
