Production on Suicide Squad is ramping up nicely – despite a few false starts due to cast changes prior to the shoot starting – and today, we’ve been treated to a great photo of the cast in full costume.

The photo, which you can see above, shows “Task Force X”, as Ayer states in his accompanying Tweet, standing under a sign announcing “Welcome to Belle Reve”, which fans will know is the fictional penitentiary where the Suicide Squad are incarcerated for their villainous misdeeds. Pictured in the photo, from left to right, is Slipknot (Adam Beach), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and El Diablo (Jay Hernandez).

In addition, Ayer also gave us the first full look at Will Smith’s Deadshot battle-ready and in all his costumed glory, after fan photos of the actor on set were taken this past week.

Obviously, the gang’s not quite all here, as there’s no glimpse of Jared Leto as The Joker, but it’s a fantastic first look at one of the film’s we’re most excited to see in 2016. It’s great to see so many characters who we know and love from DC lore coming to life in a live action film – many for the first time – and we’re really hoping the film lives up to all this hype.

Suicide Squad is on track to hit its UK release 5 August 2016.
