Toy Story 4 is a ‘love story’

The first information on the latest Toy Story sequel has been revealed.

At D23 Expo yesterday, fans of Disney’s Toy Story were treated to the first information from the fourth sequel to the 1995 original.

According to director John Lasseter, the latest film will centre around two of the saga’s most well-loved characters:

“It’s a love story with Woody and—and this is news—Bo Peep”

No further details were given, although a teaser poster for the film was on display.

Lasseter also discussed Disney and Pixar’s ethos when creating a sequel:

“It’s something we’ve never done with Toy Story before,” he said. “At Pixar and at Disney we only do a sequel if we have come up with something that’s as good or better than the original. That’s our rule. We don’t do things just to print money. It’s about great stories, that’s what we do.”

Toy Story 4 is set for a UK release on 14 July 2017.
