Winnie The Pooh gets the live-action treatment

Disney have announced a brand new, live-action Winnie The Pooh film.

Deadline is reporting that Disney have green-lit a new, live-action Winnie The Pooh adaptation to be helmed by filmmaker Alex Ross Perry.

The new film is said to focus on “Christopher Robin as an adult, which brings him back to A.A. Milne’s famous bear and the Hundred Acre Wood” and is the latest in a line of recent announcements of animated Disney properties to be given the live-action treatment, following the announcement of 2016’s Beauty and the Beast remake starring Emma Watson as well as a remake of 1998’s Mulan and the Disney classic, Dumbo, which is to be directed by Tim Burton.

The new Winnie The Pooh remake has not yet been attributed a release date.
